DreamGF's builder is the best in the business, and it isn't particularly close. Twenty-plus appearance parameters, presets, personas: ten minutes in, you've designed a companion more specific than most rivals allow at any price. The wave of "design your dream AI girlfriend" marketing across this industry? DreamGF is the app that actually means it.

Which makes its one big flaw genuinely ironic. Your meticulously designed dream girl has... a face that changes.

What is DreamGF?

DreamGF is an AI girlfriend platform running since 2022 (an eternity in this niche), built around creation: you assemble companions from a deep menu of appearance parameters across realistic, 2.5D-anime and artistic styles, then chat with them, request photos, receive voice messages, and run image generation, including a dedicated fetish generator.

The product's center of gravity is visual. The chat exists and has a memory system, but DreamGF is at heart a girlfriend design studio with a messaging app attached, rather than the reverse.

The features that actually matter

The builder. The genuine article. Where competitors offer hair-color dropdowns, DreamGF offers granular control that translates into the generated images. If the creation process itself is part of the fantasy for you (it is for many), nothing else scratches the itch as well.

Image quality vs image consistency. Individual photoreal images rate highly. The recurring technical complaint is that the SAME girlfriend's face drifts between generations: recognizably similar, not reliably identical. For a product selling a persistent companion, that's the sore spot, and reviewers keep pressing it.

The chat. Serviceable, with a useful memory system, but trailing the conversation-first platforms. Trustpilot criticism gets blunt ("primitive bots" appears), which we'd soften to: you're here for the builder and the images; the conversation is the side dish.

Voice. Present, and synthetic-sounding per most reviews. Again: side dish.

Pricing, without the bullshit

Update, 13 September 2026: DreamGF publishes two different price lists, and they do not match. This is the finding that moved our rating. The site's own FAQ still describes the four-tier Bronze to Diamond ladder we wrote up originally. Its pricing page describes something structurally different: a discounted first payment sitting next to a much larger recurring charge.

Read that table twice, because the labels are swapped. The plan called 3-Month Membership renews monthly; the plan called Monthly Membership renews quarterly. Whether that is a copywriting error or a deliberate blur, it is the kind of thing that costs somebody money, and it is the same construction we criticised on eHentai AI a fortnight ago. The subscription includes 100 tokens a month, with an image costing 10, a companion 20, a voice message 3 and a voice call 7 per minute. Extra token packs run from $2.99 to $179.99 and are sold to subscribers only.

We cannot tell you which of these you will be charged, because DreamGF publishes both. What we can tell you is that the two documents describe different products: one meters by girlfriends, images and messages, the other by tokens. Somebody at DreamGF has changed the business model and only updated half the site.

The rest of our reading of the ladder stands. Bronze at $9.99, if you can still get it, is one of the better value entries in the girlfriend category. The top half is hard to justify: Gold doubles Silver's price without doubling its useful quotas, and Diamond's headline is "unlimited", which mostly matters to power users generating industrially. Reports say data retention scales by tier, persisting forever only on Diamond, so verify the terms if long-term persistence matters to you.

Cancellation, to be fair, still works from account settings without a support ticket, and we found no complaints about charges continuing afterwards. The problem here is what you agree to, not how hard it is to leave.

What users say

The love: the builder, the image quality, the fair entry price, and the honest billing.

The gripes: face drift ("she's beautiful, she's just not always HER"), chat that runs out of depth, robotic voice, and upsell pressure toward the upper tiers.

Final verdict: who is DreamGF for?

Get DreamGF if: designing the companion is half the fun for you, and images matter more than deep conversation. Bronze at $9.99 is the right ticket if the checkout screen still offers it.

Skip it if: conversation quality is your priority (Candy AI and GirlfriendGPT both out-talk it), or if the face-consistency issue would break your immersion, because the reviews say it's real.

The formula we'd pick: free tier to test the builder tonight, then read the checkout screen line by line before you pay for anything, because the number you were quoted on the way in may not be the number that recurs. Bronze if you're still designing tomorrow and the price you are offered matches the FAQ.
