// Our verdict
A small platform that cannot be used to hurt anyone and has not finished writing down what it will not do.
ImScarlet's terms of service open with a heading. The heading reads: "Terms & Conditions {frontmatter.domain}".
That is not a quirk of how we extracted it. It is what the live document says, because somebody wrote the terms in a template and shipped them without running the template. There are six of these placeholders in the legal text, and one of them is the address you are told to write to if a generated face happens to look like you.
What is ImScarlet?
ImScarlet is a small AI companion platform. You chat with a fixed cast of AI women, they send pictures and voice notes, and there is a swipe game called Hot or Not for browsing them. The framing device is Scarlet herself, a fictional matchmaker who narrates the site in the first person: "I'm your virtual matchmaker, I help individuals like yourself to chat with beautiful girls on my site."
Two things about the structure are worth knowing before anything else. First, imscarlet.ai is only a shop window. Every button on it points at live.imscarlet.ai, which is where the actual product runs, and the marketing site's own build dates from 25 February 2026. Second, there is no character creation. Asked whether you should make your own, the FAQ says there is no need, because it has built a range for you. Most of this category sells the builder as the main event. This one does not have one.
The operator is named and checks out. Navy Light Limited, company number 13943553, incorporated 28 February 2022, registered at Office R112d Hallmark House, Downham Road, Ramsden Heath, Billericay CM11 1PU. Companies House shows it active with no overdue accounts and no overdue confirmation statement, which is better housekeeping than most platforms we look at. Its public website, navylight.co.uk, is a perfectly ordinary web design and SEO agency that does not mention ImScarlet anywhere.
Policy check, and this is the part ImScarlet gets right. Across the marketing site and 34 application bundles totalling 2.7 MB there is no image-to-image, no initial or reference image, no identity adapter, no face swap, no nudify, no undress, no inpainting, no file input and no image accept attribute. The four candidate hits were all noise, and worth naming so you can see how thin they were: the single FileReader is a blobToArray helper for webm audio, the one performer is a keyword in an emoji dictionary, the one 2257 is a coordinate inside an SVG path, and all thirteen consent hits are link options belonging to the tsParticles animation library. There is no way to get a photograph of a real person into this product, and the roster is fictional personas rather than named real people.
One genuinely unusual thing. The three companions on the front page are Jean Simon, 33, a model at an invented agency, Amelia, 49, a holistic coach, and Olivia Harvey, 55. We have reviewed a great many of these platforms and nearly all of them showcase women between nineteen and twenty two. A roster whose shop window is a 49 year old and a 55 year old is close to unique, and if that is what you are looking for, it is the only reason on this page to pick ImScarlet over anything else.
The features that actually matter
A fixed cast, described honestly. Chat, pictures, voice notes and what it calls reels, all from characters the platform built. The FAQ states that the characters are trained on erotic chat and offer explicit images, reels and audio. No builder, no customisation.
Subscription instead of metering. The site's own pitch is "No more pay per message, subscribe and enjoy." In a category where token arithmetic is the standard trap, a flat subscription is a genuine point in its favour, and it is the clearest thing the platform says about money.
Hot or Not. A swipe interface for working through the roster. It is a browsing mechanic rather than a feature, but it is there and it works as advertised.
A legal shelf with two shelves missing. The footer offers Privacy and Terms. That is all. There is no 2257 exemption statement, no DMCA policy, no community guidelines and no content removal policy. Every platform we have passed this month had at least a 2257 statement, usually claiming exemption on the correct ground that no real people are involved. ImScarlet, which would qualify for exactly that exemption, never makes the claim.
Pricing, without the bullshit
There is no pricing, and we want to be precise about how hard we looked, because this is now the fourth platform this month to do it.
No pricing page on the marketing site. No figure in the 2.7 MB of application code. The /subscription route returns the same shell as every other route, because the real app is behind a login. What the FAQ tells you is the shape and nothing else: a couple of free credits at signup, then a monthly or annual subscription, cancel whenever you like and keep access until the paid period ends.
We are also going to warn you about the search results, because this is a trap we nearly walked into. Searching for ImScarlet pricing surfaces a tier at $9.99 and another at $49.99. Those belong to myscarlet.ai, a different product with a confusingly similar name. They are not ImScarlet's prices and we will not print them as if they were.
The one figure that is public is a date rather than an amount: the domain was registered on 15 April 2024 through 1API GmbH, and its registrant sits behind a privacy proxy. One reputation checker attributes the domain to a Dutch company, which the registry record does not support, so treat that attribution as unverified. The only named operator is the one in the terms.
What users say
Nothing, as far as we can establish. There is no Trustpilot profile, no discussion we could find, and no independent review of substance. A trust checker rates the site very likely safe while simultaneously noting that it was registered recently and has few visitors, and its claim to have found mainly positive reviews has no visible source behind it. Treat the absence of complaints as absence of evidence, not as a clean record.
What the legal text says when you read it closely is more useful than the silence. If a generated picture resembles you, someone you know, or a celebrity, you are told to report it, and then: "Based on a report, we are entitled, but not obligated, to remove a profile picture." The sentence before that one is cut off mid clause, the numbering skips from 8.2 to 8.4 with the promised Article 8.3 never appearing as a heading, and the prohibited content list forbids uploading anything "pornographic" on a platform whose entire purpose is explicit content. It is boilerplate nobody read, on a product that needed a policy written for it.
Final verdict: who is ImScarlet for?
Get it if you specifically want companions presented as women in their thirties, forties and fifties, you prefer a flat subscription to counting tokens, and you are content with a roster somebody else picked.
Skip it if you want to build your own character, you expect to see a price before entering a card, or you want the platform's obligations to you written down properly.
The recommended formula is the monthly subscription, entered knowing you are buying a look at a fixed cast at a price you will only discover at the payment screen.
ImScarlet is not a dangerous product. It has no upload surface, it invents its characters, and the company behind it files its paperwork on time at Companies House. The problem is narrower and more ordinary than danger: it never finished writing down what it will and will not do. A platform that cannot hurt anybody and has left {frontmatter.supportEmail} sitting in the place where the complaints address belongs has done the hard part and skipped the easy one.

// FAQ
ImScarlet: quick answers
Is ImScarlet free?
There is a free entry point but not a free tier. Scarlet, the site's fictional matchmaker, puts it as giving you a couple of free credits when you sign up, and the FAQ confirms that after your first free messages you need a monthly or annual subscription. Nobody publishes how many credits a couple means.
How much does ImScarlet cost?
We could not find out, and we looked properly. There is no pricing page, no figure on the marketing site, and no price anywhere in 2.7 MB of application code. The subscription route returns the same shell as every other route because the real app sits behind a login. Be careful with search results here: the 9.99 and 49.99 dollar figures that come up belong to myscarlet.ai, a different product with a similar name, so we have left them out rather than pass them off as this one.
Can you create your own character on ImScarlet?
No, and it is upfront about that. Asked whether you should make your own characters, its FAQ answers that there is no need because it has built a range of them for you. That is a real limitation rather than a quirk. You get a fixed roster, and the site says it adds to it over time.
Is ImScarlet safe and legit?
The company is real and in good standing. Navy Light Limited is registered at Companies House under number 13943553, incorporated on 28 February 2022 in Billericay, England, with no overdue accounts or confirmation statement. On content it is clean: there is no way to put a photograph into this product, so it cannot be used against a real person. On paperwork it is unfinished. The terms still contain template variables where the domain name and the support address should be, there is no 2257 statement or DMCA policy at all, and if a generated face resembles someone the platform reserves the right to remove it without promising to.
