Every platform on this site sells you a currency. Kuro AI is the first one that tells you, on the pricing page, before you pay, exactly what that currency buys: 2,500 Krystals is about 310 photos or 10 videos.

After a month of reviews where we've had to write "the allowances aren't published" over and over, that single line does more for our confidence than any marketing copy could.

What is Kuro AI?

Kuro AI is an AI character chat platform with two unusual layers on top. The first is media: characters come with photos and videos generated from what the platform describes as trained models, so a given character looks like herself across a session rather than reshuffling every render. The second is a collectible card economy: characters are wrapped in cards you collect by opening packs, and there's a live market where players trade them, with the platform taking a percentage fee.

Nothing else we've reviewed does the card thing. It's closer to a gacha game with an NSFW chat inside than to a companion app, and the site's own navigation reflects it: Tavern, Gallery, Image Gen, Market, Leaderboard.

Around that sit a community catalogue reported at 100,000+ characters, character card import in the standard format (the same portability PepHop AI offers), group chats with up to twelve characters at once, a wardrobe of importable poses and outfits, and localisation into eighteen languages. The platform claims more than a million members.

Policy check. We scanned the site and its pricing page for the features that get tools excluded here: no undress tooling, no face swap, no photo uploader for likenesses, no celebrity roster, no voice cloning. The only upload controls are for your own profile avatar and banner, which is standard, and character cards are text-format definitions rather than images of people. The "trained models" language refers to consistency for fictional characters, not training on a real person's photos, which is the distinction that got MuseBix AI excluded earlier this month. Kuro passes.

The features that actually matter

Published currency maths. The headline, and worth spelling out because it's so rare. Premium: 2,500 Krystals monthly, stated as roughly 310 photos or 10 videos. Ultra: 6,000, about 750 photos or 24 videos. Supreme: 50,000, about 6,250 photos or 200 videos. You can work out your own usage against those numbers before spending anything, which is exactly what Nectar AI, CraveU AI and SpicyMate all made impossible.

Memory as a tier feature, stated numerically. 200 memories per character on Premium, 2,000 on Ultra, unlimited on Supreme. Again: a number, not an adjective. Most platforms say "great memory" and let you find out.

Character card import. If you have a cast built on another platform, you can bring it. This is the single most underrated feature in this category, because it turns switching from a rebuild into a migration.

Group chats up to twelve. Genuinely large. SpicyChat caps at three.

And the card economy, which cuts both ways. Packs, collecting, burning cards, trading on a market with a fee. If you like collection mechanics, this is a feature nobody else offers. If you don't, it's a second economy layered on the first, and the Krystals that pay for your photos also pay for cards and gifts and imported outfits. Four demands on one balance is how a transparent allowance becomes an opaque monthly bill.

Pricing, without the bullshit

Billing runs one-time, monthly or annual, with annual advertised at up to 25% off. Higher tiers also carry escalating discounts on imported assets (25%, 35%, 50%).

The gap: the dollar amounts load dynamically, so the pricing page shows the structure without the prices until you're signed in. One review reports memberships starting around $15/month with roughly $30 for full NSFW and video access. That's a single source and we treat it as an indication, not a fact.

It's a strange split. Kuro publishes the hard part (what the currency actually buys, which almost nobody discloses) and hides the easy part (the price). Our guess is a checkout experiment rather than deception, but the effect is the same: you can't compare it against Erogen or LustGF AI without creating an account.

One more note for the cautious: crypto payment is available with a $100 minimum, at a stated rate of 170 Krystals per dollar. That rate is useful as a sanity check on any subscription price you're quoted.

What users say

Very little, and the mismatch is worth flagging: a platform claiming over a million members has no Trustpilot profile and no meaningful Reddit presence we could find. One review says the same thing in the same words, calling the community feedback too limited to assess the real experience.

That's not an accusation. Card-collecting platforms often live inside their own Discord communities rather than on review sites, and Kuro runs a partner programme and a leaderboard that suggest an engaged core. But a million-member claim with no public user record is a number we can only report, not verify.

No breach reports, no billing complaints, no scam accusations surfaced.

Final verdict: who is Kuro AI for?

Get Kuro AI if: collection mechanics appeal to you, you want character portability, or you're simply tired of platforms that won't say what their currency buys. The published Krystal maths lets you size a plan honestly, which is more than most competitors permit.

Skip it if: gamification annoys you (the cards, packs, market fees and leaderboards are the product, not decoration), or you want a flat subscription with no meter at all, where LustGF AI and Erogen serve you better.

The formula we'd pick: sign in far enough to read the real prices, then compare Premium's 2,500 Krystals against your own habits using their stated conversion. If you generate a couple of photos a day, Premium covers it comfortably. If videos are the point, note that ten a month is the entry allowance and Ultra roughly doubles it. Don't buy Supreme until the card market has actually hooked you.
