// Our verdict

Still the most complete companion platform after Candy AI, but it has lost the one independent trust signal we used to cite, and its annual coin allowance has been cut in half.

Update, 30 August 2026: OurDream AI's Trustpilot profile has been removed. The page that carried the 4.2 out of 5 we cited in earlier versions of this review now returns a notice reading: "This profile has been removed. The business you're trying to find goes against our guidelines and is no longer visible on Trustpilot." We checked two Trustpilot locales and got the same notice on both. Search engines still show cached titles and star ratings for the old page, which is why you may find the score quoted elsewhere.

Read that for exactly what it is, and no more. Trustpilot does not publish its reason for a removal, so we cannot tell you whether this was about review manipulation, the adult category, or something else entirely. It is not a breach, and it is not a documented scam. What it is: the single piece of independent, third-party evidence this review relied on has been withdrawn by the organisation that issued it, and that costs the platform most of the trust premium we gave it. The rating drops from 8.6 to 7.8 on that basis.

The product below is unchanged. The confidence around it is not.

OurDream AI is the app your search history probably brought you to: it's one of the most searched AI companion platforms on the internet right now, and the marketing is everywhere. Big promise, pretty faces, "your dream companion in every format".

So does the product behind the hype hold up? On features, mostly yes. On everything you'd want to verify from the outside, less than it used to.

What is OurDream AI?

OurDream AI is an AI companion platform in the full-service mold: you pick or build a companion (face, body type, hair, clothing, personality, in realistic or anime style), and then you interact with her across every format the industry currently offers. Text chat with memory. Voice calls. Image generation, in chat or through a dedicated generator. And the headline act: video generation of your companion, which most competitors still don't offer at all.

The platform claims a massive character library and a user base in the millions. Marketing numbers, sure, but the platform's search volume backs up that this is one of the biggest names in the space right now, sitting in the same conversation as Candy AI and the top chat platforms.

Behind the curtain, it's operated by a registered US company (Dream Studio USA, Inc.), live since around 2024. That sentence sounds boring; in a niche full of anonymous operators, boring is a feature.

The features that actually matter

The format coverage. This is OurDream's real pitch. Chat, voice, images AND video in one subscription is a combination almost nobody else matches: Candy AI has all four but its video is more limited; the chat specialists have no video at all. If you want one app that does everything, this is one of exactly two serious answers.

Video generation. The differentiator. Your companion in motion, generated on demand. Quality follows the industry curve (short clips, occasional weirdness, improving fast), and users who come specifically for video rate it among the best in the companion category. Remember this feature for the pricing section, because it's the one that drinks the coins.

Unlimited messages. Both plans include unlimited chat with a memory system users describe as solid. No message counters, no mid-scene paywalls on the conversation itself. In a market where entry plans often meter messages, that's genuinely consumer-friendly.

The uncensored range. Realistic, anime and trans companions, with NSFW content unlocked as the default premium experience. The usual industry rules apply (fictional characters only), and the platform enforces age verification.

Pricing, without the bullshit

Verified directly on the official site as of August 2026:

Plan Price What you get
Monthly $19.99/mo Unlimited messages + 1,000 DreamCoins/month
Yearly $119.88 upfront (~$9.99/mo) Unlimited messages + 1,000 DreamCoins/month + 1,000 bonus coins

Second change worth flagging on this pass: the annual plan's coin allowance has been halved. The site's own structured data now describes both plans identically, at 1,000 DreamCoins a month, where the yearly plan previously carried 2,000. The signup bonus of 1,000 coins survives. The sticker prices did not move, so this is a quiet cut to what you get rather than a rise in what you pay, and it lands hardest on exactly the users the annual plan was built for.

Now the part that generates most of the platform's angry reviews, and it deserves your full attention: the subscription is not the whole price.

Messages are unlimited, but everything visual runs on DreamCoins: image generations, video clips, voice calls. Your plan includes a monthly allowance, and it goes fast, especially with video, which consumes coins at a rate that surprises basically everyone the first month. Run dry, and you're buying top-ups. That's the model. It's the same dual-currency disease we flagged at Candy AI and GirlfriendGPT, and OurDream has the most expensive version of the symptom because video is its star feature.

Our honest math: a chat-first user lives comfortably on the yearly plan's allowance and pays effectively ~$10/month, which is excellent value. An image-heavy user should expect the $20-35/month zone all-in. A video enthusiast can go well past that. Decide which user you are BEFORE subscribing, not after.

One genuinely good mark: billing is reported as discreet, showing up under neutral names like "Dream Studio" on card statements. Nobody at your bank needs the details of your dream life.

What users say

With the Trustpilot profile gone, the evidence base here is thinner than it was, and we're not going to quote a score we can no longer open. What survives is the pattern we can still read across Reddit and the review sites, and it has been consistent for a year:

The love: image quality, the video feature, unlimited chat that actually stays unlimited, and companions that remember. Users who came for the visuals and understood the coin system are the platform's happiest customers.

The complaints: coins, coins, coins. Nearly every negative account traces back to the same story: someone subscribed thinking $19.99 was the full price, discovered video costs extra fuel, and felt ambushed. Unlocking user-generated galleries draws on the same balance, which is where the "a single unlock cost me a month of coins" complaints come from.

Still notably absent: any documented pattern of unauthorized charges, breaches or refund scams. The frustration on record is about the price structure, not about being robbed. There's a difference, and in this industry it matters. But we can no longer point you at an independent scoreboard to check that for yourself, and you should weigh this review accordingly.

Final verdict: who is OurDream AI for?

Get OurDream if: you want the full multimedia companion experience (especially video, where it leads the pack), and you go in with a realistic coin budget. The yearly plan at ~$9.99/month effective is one of the better value entries in the category, IF your usage matches the allowance.

Skip it if: you only want text chat (SpicyChat's $5 plan or Janitor AI free will serve you better for a fraction of the price), or if dual-currency systems make your blood pressure spike on principle. We understand. We've reviewed enough of them.

The formula we'd pick: monthly at $19.99 for the first month to measure your real coin consumption, then the yearly plan if the math works. Never start with the yearly on an app whose real cost depends on your usage pattern.

Rating: 7.8/10, down from 8.6 at our last check. The product still rivals Candy AI; the paper trail behind it no longer does.

// FAQ

OurDream AI: quick answers

How much does OurDream AI cost?

Two plans, verified on the official site: $19.99/month or $119.88/year upfront (about $9.99/month). The prices have not moved since our last check, but the coins have. Both plans now include 1,000 DreamCoins a month, where the annual plan previously carried 2,000. The yearly plan still adds a 1,000-coin bonus when you first subscribe. Messages are unlimited on both; the coins pay for images, video and voice.

Is OurDream AI free?

Effectively no. Some reviews mention a small SFW-only preview, but the official pricing doesn't advertise a free tier, and everything that makes OurDream interesting (uncensored chat, images, video, voice) sits behind the subscription. Treat it as a paid product from minute one.

Is OurDream AI legit and safe?

The picture is weaker than it was. It is still a registered US company (Dream Studio USA) with no documented breach or billing-fraud pattern, and billing reportedly shows as neutral names like 'Dream Studio' on card statements. But the 4.2/5 Trustpilot rating we cited in earlier versions of this review no longer exists: the profile has been removed, and Trustpilot now serves a notice saying the business goes against its guidelines. That is not proof of fraud, and Trustpilot has not published its reason, but it does mean the independent evidence we were leaning on has been withdrawn.

What are DreamCoins?

OurDream's internal currency, included monthly with your plan and consumed by media features: image generations, video clips and voice calls all draw from your coin balance. Heavy media users burn through the allowance and end up topping up, which is where the real monthly cost climbs above the sticker price.
