Update, 30 August 2026: OurDream AI's Trustpilot profile has been removed. The page that carried the 4.2 out of 5 we cited in earlier versions of this review now returns a notice reading: "This profile has been removed. So does the product behind the hype hold up? On features, mostly yes. On everything you'd want to verify from the outside, less than it used to.

What is OurDream AI?

OurDream AI is an AI companion platform in the full-service mold: you pick or build a companion (face, body type, hair, clothing, personality, in realistic or anime style), and then you interact with her across every format the industry currently offers. Text chat with memory. Voice calls. Image generation, in chat or through a dedicated generator. And the headline act: video generation of your companion, which most competitors still don't offer at all.

The platform claims a massive character library and a user base in the millions. Marketing numbers, sure, but the platform's search volume backs up that this is one of the biggest names in the space right now, sitting in the same conversation as Candy AI and the top chat platforms.

Behind the curtain, it's operated by a registered US company (Dream Studio USA, Inc.), live since around 2024. That sentence sounds boring; in a niche full of anonymous operators, boring is a feature.

The format coverage. This is OurDream's real pitch. Unlimited messages. Both plans include unlimited chat with a memory system users describe as solid. No message counters, no mid-scene paywalls on the conversation itself. In a market where entry plans often meter messages, that's genuinely consumer-friendly.

The uncensored range. Realistic, anime and trans companions, with NSFW content unlocked as the default premium experience. The usual industry rules apply (fictional characters only), and the platform enforces age verification.

Pricing, without the bullshit

Second change worth flagging on this pass: the annual plan's coin allowance has been halved. The site's own structured data now describes both plans identically, at 1,000 DreamCoins a month, where the yearly plan previously carried 2,000. The signup bonus of 1,000 coins survives. The sticker prices did not move, so this is a quiet cut to what you get rather than a rise in what you pay, and it lands hardest on exactly the users the annual plan was built for.

Now the part that generates most of the platform's angry reviews, and it deserves your full attention: the subscription is not the whole price.

Messages are unlimited, but everything visual runs on DreamCoins: image generations, video clips, voice calls. Your plan includes a monthly allowance, and it goes fast, especially with video, which consumes coins at a rate that surprises basically everyone the first month. Run dry, and you're buying top-ups. That's the model. It's the same dual-currency disease we flagged at Candy AI and GirlfriendGPT, and OurDream has the most expensive version of the symptom because video is its star feature.

Our honest math: a chat-first user lives comfortably on the yearly plan's allowance and pays effectively ~$10/month, which is excellent value. An image-heavy user should expect the $20-35/month zone all-in. A video enthusiast can go well past that. Decide which user you are BEFORE subscribing, not after.

One genuinely good mark: billing is reported as discreet, showing up under neutral names like "Dream Studio" on card statements. Nobody at your bank needs the details of your dream life.

What users say

With the Trustpilot profile gone, the evidence base here is thinner than it was, and we're not going to quote a score we can no longer open. What survives is the pattern we can still read across Reddit and the review sites, and it has been consistent for a year:

The love: image quality, the video feature, unlimited chat that actually stays unlimited, and companions that remember. Users who came for the visuals and understood the coin system are the platform's happiest customers.

The complaints: coins, coins, coins. Nearly every negative account traces back to the same story: someone subscribed thinking $19.99 was the full price, discovered video costs extra fuel, and felt ambushed.
