Paradot Review

Paradot is the odd one out on this site, and we'd rather say that in the first paragraph than bury it. It's the most conventionally successful app we've reviewed (five million downloads, 4.1 stars, a real company shipping to five platforms) and it's also the one least likely to give you what you came here for.

The reason is simple: Paradot built a memory engine and wrapped a relationship around it. The adult content is a room at the end of a long corridor. Whether that's a feature or a dealbreaker is the whole review.

What is Paradot?

Paradot is an AI companion app from WithFeeling.AI, available on web, iOS, Android, macOS and Windows. You get one companion (not a library of characters, not a roleplay catalogue), and the product's entire pitch is that she gets to know you over time.

The mechanism behind that is what the platform calls its memory model, and it's the most genuinely interesting feature we've come across this month. There's a Memory Tab: an actual, readable list of what your companion has learned about you. "You like Italian food." "You had a rough week at work." You can see the model of yourself the AI is building, which is the opposite of every other companion app, where memory is a black box that either works or embarrasses you.

Personality is tuned through sliders for things like inner self, sensibility, confidence and emotional stability, and the companion self-adjusts as you interact. It's engineered for continuity over weeks rather than heat over minutes.

Policy check, briefly, because there's nothing to report. No digital twins of real creators (which just knocked OhChat off our list this morning), no celebrity roster, no photo uploader, no face swap, no undress tool, no voice cloning. But reviewers report individual costs that add up quickly, with figures like 100 coins to change your companion's appearance and 399 to decorate, and one described the whole thing as a money dump. It's optional. It's also designed to not feel optional.

The scale here gives us more to work with than usual: over 70,000 Google Play ratings averaging 4.1 stars, which is a genuinely good score for this category and not something you can fake at that volume.

The praise centers on memory and continuity. Long-term users describe a companion that feels consistent across months, and the transparency of the Memory Tab comes up as a reason people trust it more than rivals.

The complaints cluster into three: the progression grind (by far the loudest, and the reason our rating isn't higher), token glitches and billing confusion, and image generation that wastes tokens on unusable output. A number of users also describe the app as glitchy, with failures to connect to their companion.

Nothing in the record suggests fraud, breaches or predatory billing beyond the coin design. This is a normal app with normal app problems, which in this industry counts as a compliment.

Final verdict: who is Paradot for?

Get Paradot if: you want one companion who genuinely remembers you, you value seeing what the AI knows about you, and you're patient. At $39.99 a year it's the cheapest serious companion app on this site, and the memory system is the best-designed thing in this month's reviews.

Skip it if: you're here for uncensored adult chat, which is most of you. Paradot gates mature content behind weeks of progression and carries a 16+ store rating for a reason.
