PornX answers a question every beginner asks and most platforms dodge: "can I actually try this without paying?" Here, yes. No card, not even a registration to start. The allowance is modest, 4 images a day on the free Explore tier, but it is real output rather than a blurred thumbnail behind a pop-up.

Now the asterisk, and it's a big one: on the free tier, everything you generate is public.

Our October 2026 re-check also turned up the thing PornX does better than anyone else we have audited, and it has nothing to do with output quality. More on that below.

What is PornX?

First, the name tag: the platform launched as PornX AI on pornx.ai, and rebranded to PornX Co on pornx.co (the old domain has gone dark). If you find old links or app-store mentions floating around, that's the story.

The product is a pure NSFW generator, images and video, across realistic, anime, hentai and cartoon styles. Its design philosophy is "no prompts needed": you assemble scenes from menus and tags (body type, outfit, background, style), with free-text prompting reserved for the paid tier. Editing tools (inpaint), quality modes and 4K upscaling round out the kit.

No chat, no characters that text you, no companion anything. Generation only.

The features that actually matter

The free tier, correctly sized. Four image generations a day on the Explore tier, per PornX's own documentation, plus whatever Daily Tasks hand you in free tokens. That is enough to judge the tool over a week, not enough to learn it in an afternoon. Speed helps: images land in roughly 8 seconds. We previously described this tier as roughly 15 creations a day, which was wrong, and the honest summary is now "lowest-friction entry in the market, on a short leash". The free tier also caps you at base quality, three aspect ratios and a limited gallery.

The real-person policy, and the architecture under it. This is the headline of our re-check. PornX publishes guidelines requiring every character to be AI-generated and fictional, and banning anything that "resembles, mimics, or could be identified as a real living person", with public figures and private individuals named equally, and with real photographs, deepfakes, composites and "inspired by" naming all explicitly listed. Non-consensual intimate imagery gets a zero-tolerance clause that names revenge pornography, sextortion and nudified photographs, and a removal address with a stated commitment to prioritise verified requests. Plenty of platforms write paragraphs like that and then ship a face-upload button anyway. PornX does not have one: its Edit page loads images only from your own Creations or Collections, so the only possible input to inpaint, reimagine or upscale is something the platform generated itself. A policy enforced by the absence of a file picker is worth more than any clause, and in this category it is close to unique.

Public-by-default, and why it matters. Free generations go to the community gallery. No private mode without Gold. Think about what you type into a prompt box under that policy; if the thought makes you uneasy (it should, a little), the $25 plan IS the privacy feature.

Menu-driven depth. The tag system goes surprisingly deep, with "Dynamic Prompts" for multi-parameter scenes. Ceiling is lower than free-prompt tools for exotic compositions, but for standard scenes, menus get you there faster than prompt fiddling.

Video, the honest version. Video generation exists, costs 15 tokens a clip, and takes minutes to render. Free users are capped at 480p, Premium gets 580p and 720p. Reviews place it in the "improving but not the reason to subscribe" bucket, well behind Seduced's extension chains.

Proper documentation. PornX now runs a full public docs site at docs.pornx.co covering tokens, plans, characters, the editor, LoRAs and its content rules, machine-readable version included. In a category where the help page is usually a Discord invite, this is a quiet signal that someone is running the place.

Pricing, without the bullshit

Token math: standard images cost about a token, videos 15, upscales draw from the same pool. Inpaint and upscale cost tokens on the free tier (1 and 2) and are free on Premium, which reverses the usual logic in your favour. 300 tokens is a comfortable image month or a modest video month, and heavy users report emptying it in under a week. Quarterly and yearly terms exist at up to 35% off, but the per-term prices only appear at checkout, so treat that screen as the referee.

Tier naming note: what older reviews, including ours, called Gold is now called Premium everywhere a user can see. The word "gold" survives only as an internal key in the site's own code.

At $24.99, Premium walks into a knife fight: Promptchan bundles video, characters and chat for a comparable monthly figure. Premium's case rests on the menu workflow, the unlimited image generation, and, for some readers, the policy posture above.

What users say

The love: the free tier's honesty, speed, ease, and, unusual for this industry, an active Discord where support actually answers.

The gripes: token velocity, the public free gallery, the thin 4-a-day free allowance, no PayPal, and "it only does one thing". No breach history, no scam-pattern reports; the trust picture is notably cleaner than some budget rivals.

Final verdict: who is PornX for?

Get PornX if: you want a no-registration way to try AI porn generation and you're fine creating in public until you pay, the menu workflow suits you, or you specifically want to spend your money somewhere that has thought hard about real-person misuse and built the product to prevent it.

Skip it if: privacy on a budget is the priority (Promptchan's private mode arrives cheaper), or you need chat and characters with your images.

The formula we'd pick: ride the free tier for a week, which at 4 images a day means roughly 28 attempts to find out whether the menu workflow fits you. If you're still generating daily, Premium is justified; if not, you got a free hobby.
